Carry-on Items
One item of carry-on baggage is permitted per fare paying passenger, so long as it does not exceed maximum size of 9 inches x 14 inches by 16 inches, and does not weight more than a total of 12 pounds. Flight crew have final authority and may require you to surrender your carry-on baggage for transfer to the baggage hold at their discretion. Failure to comply will result in denied passenger boarding.

Checked Baggage
Free Baggage Allowance - Each guest may check 1 bag, not more than 50 pounds or to exceed a maximum of 158cm or 62 inches
Late Check-In When checking luggage, allow sufficient time for it to be placed on your flight. Luggage checked less than 30 minutes before scheduled departure will be considered Late Check-In. Although every effort will be made to get late checked baggage on your flight,in the event your baggage does not arrive with you at your destination, Air Turks & Caicos will not assume delivery charges to get your baggage to you or any other obligation.
Excess Baggage Charges Special Equipment
- Scuba Gear -Restricted conditions apply One set of scuba gear is accepted but all applicable excess fees will be charged per set per direction (extra piece, overweight or oversize).
- Cylinders containing compressed air or a special gas mixture are prohibited. We can only accept empty/emptied cylinders (pressure gauge must read zero).
- Tank valve must be open. Diving lamps must be disconnected, with the terminals taped over to prevent accidental functioning during transport.
Packing Tips
The following Special items should be packed in carry-on baggage,
not checked luggage :
- Identification such as passports, driver’s licenses, Money and Credit Cards, Medication, Keys (provided there are no items on the keychain that are prohibitied, such as mini pocket knives)
- Jewellery
- Wrapped or fragile items
- Musical instruments - although seats may not be purchased for instruments, we will accept small instruments as part of the carry- on baggage allowance. Exceptions may be made for irregular sized instruments, however all instruments will be stowed in overhead compartment, under the seat or in other approved locations. This is left to the discretion of the cabin crew and customer service agent upon checking the flight and baggage loads. Instruments may also be accepted in checked baggage when they are properly packed. Applicable excess fees will apply.
Perishables: properly packed in leak-proof containers. Please note that the use of dry ice is prohibited.
- Camera film
- Electrical devices
- Cellular telephones and other wireless devices cannot be used at any time while in flight.
- Any lap top computers or electrical items will need to be removed from their carrying case at the security gate and will be x-rayed.
The following electrical devices are permitted onboard: Voice recorders, calculators, laptop computers, handheld CD players, handheld electronic devices, computer games, and photographic equipment.
